User issue:
Receives the following error message when attempting to log into GTInet.org
Websupport recommendation:
User will have to bypass their proxy server to access the site.
From your workstation:
The web server requests a special type of authentication that isn't allowed
through proxy servers.
If this doesn't work, you will have to do some proxy site configuration on your
network server to let gtinet through directly and turn off proxy cache for
anything on gtinet.org.
You have to completely bypass the proxy for just *.GTInet.org
- Open up a new Internet Explorer browser
window
- Go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections tab
- Click the LAN Settings... button at the
bottom
- Check the box that says "Use a proxy server
for your LAN"
- Click the Advanced button in the Proxy
server section
- In the Exceptions section at the bottom, you
should type in *.gtinet.org. You should see information filled in for your
proxy.
Please email websupport@gtinet.org with details describing your problem.
Your request will be addressed within 2 business days.
